Earlier this week at the groundbreaking event "The Future of Accounting" in NSW Parliament House, some Best Practice Program member firms were recognized by John Peterson, as leading the way in terms of striving to get to the future first.

"Leadership, communication and getting your foundation right so that you can embrace these opportunities rather than suffer anxiety and  become overworked are the keys to ensuring Accountants keep up with the pace of change", said John.

The big data opportunities that governments are opening up for entrepreneurs will create substantial new business opportunities for the Accounting profession for those that have the time, head space, quality teams and systematization in place to innovate and embrace this new age.

Aging principles were encouraged to focus on getting their foundation right to achieve growth, innovation and succession. Younger principles were encouraged to focus on their leadership, communication and intergenerational client services skills.

John hand picked a number of sole practitioners and leaders of smaller firms to attend this event to represent the national membership of Accountants attending the 2016 Best Practice Program for Accountants throughout Australia.

Those representing the Best Practice consultancy were 2016 national award winners Richard & Paul Vergona of the VA Group (VIC) high profile Public Accountant and professional soccer coach Domenic Barba ofTaxtalk &
Integritas Group (VIC), highly regarded QLD firm leader Paul Young of
Innovatus, Simon Manning of Coastal View Financial Services, Sydney CBD firm Partner Tony Cohen of Cohen & Krass, Craig Anderson, a cloud accounting innovating CPA from Perth, Ruth Watson, a cash flow expert and public accountant in Melbourne,

Practitioners representing most Australian states were appreciative of the content and insights shared by all the guest speakers and the expert panel assembled brought great insight and diversity of thinking
into
robust discussion for the audience to consider.
